PlainPurse — Personal Expense Tracker

This Privacy Policy explains how PlainPurse ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

PlainPurse does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. All data you enter in the App — including expense records, account balances, categories, and budgets — is stored exclusively on your device.

2. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your Android device using internal app storage. We do not operate any servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that receives your data.

• Expense and income records you create

• Account names and balances you set up

• Budget and category configurations

• App preferences and settings

None of the above is ever transmitted off your device.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your data with any third party — because we never receive it in the first place. PlainPurse has no analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting libraries, or third-party integrations that collect user data.

4. Permissions

PlainPurse requests only the minimum Android permissions necessary to function. We do not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any sensitive device features.

5. Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your device updated and secured with a PIN or biometric lock for maximum protection.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete all app data at any time by:

• Uninstalling the App — this permanently removes all locally stored data

• Using Android Settings > Apps > PlainPurse > Clear Data

Once deleted, data cannot be recovered as we do not maintain any backups.

7. Children's Privacy

PlainPurse is suitable for general audiences including users under 13. Since we collect no personal information whatsoever, there are no special concerns regarding children's data privacy.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
